My Story

From high school mixtapes to college playlists, DJ Bishnoizz has always been that friend—the one who insists, “Wait, you’ve got to hear this next song!” Long before the DJ booth, his decks were a stack of burned CDs.

After college, he traded playlists for spreadsheets, surviving the grind of a finance job with an iPod basically grafted to his hand. While others crunched numbers, he was mentally remixing elevator music into something danceable. Eventually, he realized life’s too short for quarterly reports and transitioned to dropping beats instead.

These days, DJ Bishnoizz is also known as “Dad” to two spirited daughters and “Really?” to a wife who lovingly questions his life choices (and occasional song selections). He’s constantly schooled by his kids on the latest artists, which he gleefully mashes up with ’90s and 2000s classics—proving that nothing bridges a generation gap like blending a viral dance hit with an old-school banger.

I once won a work contest because I was the only person to have Johnny Cash and S Club 7 in the same library. From Creed to Creedence, and ABBA to A$AP; my musical tastes are less ‘eclectic’ and more ‘identity crisis,’ but it works, I think.
